What is Love (‘to my grand-daughter Meg Walkerdine’, copyright Margaret Andrews)

Feels like just you and me in the world
The whole of nature unfurled
Greenery and forestry to the left and right
We’re the lucky one gobbling up this feast – this sight
And comfortable cuddly you walking by my side
It’s so complete my tears burst with pride
For some time now we’ve adored each other
A love surpassing that of a brother
These moments of platitude happen so rare
The sun is beaming on the luckiest pair
Come along Copper – time to go home
Good Boy Good boy
